About MIXNET
MIXNET is located just outside of Washington D.C. in Fairfax, VA. MIXNET was founded in 1995 as a data conversion and document management company. With the rapid growth of the Internet in 1996, MIXNET developed customized web-based database applications for the government, courts, and private industry. In 1998, MIXNET was the first vendor in the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide a web-based instrument and image software application efileCX — for remote access to Circuit Courts.
MIXNET scanned and converted an entire Circuit Court library into a digital archive! This digital archive is now online and can be searched and viewed online via a MIXNET developed subscription service.
MIXNET also participated in the ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE workgroup sponsored by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
In 1999 MIXNET opened an office in Europe to serve the EU in Luxembourg with customized database applications. In the same year, MIXNET launched efilePX, a fully web-based electronic permit application for local jurisdictions. efilePX enables permit offices to manage permits - PAPERLESS - from online permit applications to permit management, setback requirements, inspections, and approval including electronic signatures. MIXNET also integrated the court application, the permit application and the property tax assessment application into one.
Starting in 2003, MIXNET has provided a platform that enables tax payers to electronically file (efile) their federal and state taxes through efile.com. Security, accuracy and speed are essential for this valuable application.
Since 2006, MIXNET has enabled - through droptax.com - tax professionals and tax payers to upload and exchange tax information, as well as the ability to communicate or work online on personal tax planning and tax filing tasks.
